The Akita has short hair but also a dense undercoat. The coat should be completely brushed out at least weekly and full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 6-8 weeks.

Protein shampoos are recommended for this breed.

Consider using a Specialty Shampoo or conditioner to spruce up your Akita’s coat & ask for Toothbrushing for dental hygiene.
The oatmeal bath and the soft and silky treatment are common ad-ons for this breed!
