Kerry Blue Terrier Breed Grooming Information

Kerry Blue Terriers have a wavy, dense and soft coat that requires regular grooming.
Unlike many other Terrier breeds the wiry coat is not desired, and that means a soft
coat is required. Soft coats involve risk of tangling and matting when not regularly
groomed. The Kerry Blue should be completely brushed out at least twice weekly to
deter excessive shedding, tangling and matting. Full service professional grooming
is recommended at least every 6 weeks.
Special care should be taken when brushing the Kerry Blue Terrier to go all the way to the skin, with the proper brush.
