Daily grooming is very helpful with a full-coated Lhasa Apso. The coat is rich, dense, long and flowing with perhaps a slight wave. The substantial coat can easily become matted especially when exposed to moisture. The Lhasa Apso should be completely brushed out at least twice weekly to deter excessive shedding, tangling and matting. The coat can be deceiving, so special care should be taken to brush the lhasa all the way to the skin with the proper brush to avoid serious matting. Full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 4 weeks.

Some customers chose a short cut to lower maintenance requirements (pictured) however you may keep them full coated with sufficient maintenance.

Consider using a
Specialty Shampoo or conditioner to spruce up your lhasa’s coat & ask for Toothbrushing for dental hygiene.
The oatmeal bath and the soft and silky treatment or antistat conditioner are common ad-ons for this breed!
