Border Collies have soft, dense double coats. The outer coat is medium to long and textured flat to perhaps a little wavy. The Border Collie needs to be completely brushed out at least weekly to deter tangling and matting. Full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 4-6 weeks with proper home maintenance or every 1-2 weeks without.
