Among the first of the ‘Designer Dogs’ is the cross of the American Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, the Cockapoo.  Cockapoo coats will vary, many being fairly thick and curly.  They require brushing often, at least 2-3 times a week to prevent matting and tangling.  The coat of the Cockapoo can be deceiving and most will matt easily, especially when exposed to moisture.  Special care should be taken when brushing or combing the cockapoo to go all the way to the skin, with the proper brush.  Many different styles and cuts can be done to this breed to suite your preferences.
