The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier  are medium sized dogs with a smooth and silky single coat.  The coats can be deceiving and can mat very easily as they are  very dense.  Special care should be taken to brush all the way to the skin, with the correct brush. The coats are typically black at birth and lighten by age 2 or sooner.  Full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 4-6 weeks.

Consider using a Specialty Shampoo or conditioner to spruce up your wheaten's coat & ask for Toothbrushing for dental hygiene.
The oatmeal bath and the soft and silky treatment are common ad-ons for this breed!
