The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has a shedding double coat and needs to be brushed and groomed often. A moderate amount of home maintenance is required with this breed. The coat is medium length with an insulating, short, soft & thick undercoat with a more harsh textured, longer outer coat that lies smooth and is weather resistant. The coat should never be wiry, curly or silky. The coat should be completely brushed out at least weekly and full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 6-8 weeks.

Protein
shampoos are recommended for this breed.
