The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has a shedding double coat and needs to be brushed and groomed
often. A moderate amount of home maintenance is required with this breed. The coat
is medium length with an insulating, short, soft & thick undercoat with a more harsh
textured, longer outer coat that lies smooth and is weather resistant. The coat should
never be wiry, curly or silky. The coat should be completely brushed out at least
weekly and full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 6-
