The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has a shedding double coat and needs to be brushed and groomed often. A moderate amount of home maintenance is required with this breed. The coat is medium length with a short, thick, weather resistant undercoat with a coarser, longer outter coat. The coat should be completely brushed out at least weekly and full service professional grooming is recommended at least every 6-8 weeks.

Protein shampoos are recommended for this breed.
